CJP accuses Delhi Police of blocking food at Jantar Mantar protest
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday accused the Delhi Police of obstructing its ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar by allegedly preventing food supplies from reaching demonstrators and detaining students travelling to the protest site. The allegations were made by CJP activist Ashutosh Ranka in a social media post as the party continued its agitation over alleged examination irregularities and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. CJP alleges food supplies being blocked In a post on X, Ranka claimed that Delhi Police had established checkpoints several kilometres away from Jantar Mantar and was preventing supporters from reaching the protest venue. Sharing a screenshot of what he described as a WhatsApp conversation, Ranka alleged that students heading to the protest were being stopped by police. “Dear Delhi Police, do whatever you want. You cannot stop people from coming to Jantar Mantar. You cannot stop people from having food. You cannot stop people from helping us. Most importantly, you cannot stop Pradhan’s resignation.
