Yash Vir Singh will represent India in the men’s javelin throw and make his debut at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The 24 year old from Haryana heads into the competition with a personal best of 83.72m. Early days Born on October 22, 2001, in Devsar village near Bhiwani, Haryana, Yash Vir Singh comes from a sporting family. His father, Rai Singh, is a former national level javelin thrower, a former Railways champion and a retired Railways coach. Yash started throwing the javelin in 2015 under the guidance of his father.
