The centre of the controversy is that Kim Soo Hyun had a romantic relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was still a minor, and that claims were made by Kim Sae Ron’s aunt on Garo Sero Research Institute’s YouTube channel.

The aunt has also shared evidence to prove that the Queen of Tears actor have dated the late actress when she was a minor and has led a fierce legal battle and public scrutiny between them.
Ten legal case
As per South Korean media outlet Edaily, the controversy between the two has triggered ten separate legal investigations linked to Kim Sae Ron and the two sides are in a legal battle.
Press conference
During a press conference, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, on May 19 have revealed seven cases that are being handled by Gangnam Police Station, while the remaining three are under the jurisdiction of the Seodaemun Police Station.

According to Edaily, the actor has filed seven legal complaints, including one against the controversial YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute, including defamation and stalking.

While the bereaved family, through a legal representative, have submitted three cases, one of which includes a serious accusation against Kim Soo Hyun for violating the Child Welfare Act.
Bu Ji Seok
However, the legal representative of Kim Sae Ron’s Bu Ji Seok has come under scrutiny for giving misleading legal advice to the family during the case of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron and has been reported to the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.
