Bollywood director Abhishek Pathak and actress Shivaleeka Oberoi are celebrating a very special moment in their lives. The couple, married for two years, announced on Friday that they are expecting their first child. Sharing the news with fans, they described the arrival as a “tiny blessing” joining their universe.
The duo tied the knot in February 2023 in Goa, after first meeting on the sets of Khuda Haafiz in 2020, a film that Abhishek produced and Shivaleeka starred in. Their journey from co-stars to life partners has been filled with memorable moments, including a dreamy proposal in Turkey where Abhishek proposed under the hot air balloons.
On Instagram, they shared adorable pictures to reveal their pregnancy. In one image, Shivaleeka, dressed in red, held tiny baby socks while Abhishek, in a black shirt, hugged her in front of a Christmas tree. Another shot showed the couple holding a Christmas ornament with the message, “Baby Pathak Arriving 2026,” their faces hidden behind the festive decoration.
The couple captioned the post, “Our love story has found its sweetest verse — a tiny blessing is joining our universe.” Celebrities congratulated them online, with Rakul Preet Singh commenting, “Oh wowwww congrats,” Ishita Dutta and Esha Gupta sending red heart emojis, and Sharib Hashmi writing, “Many many congratulations aap dono ko.”
Abhishek and Shivaleeka often share glimpses of their journey together. During their wedding celebrations, they wrote, “Last evening 9th Feb 2023, surrounded by our loved ones, we got married in a place where our relationship bloomed. Abhishek Pathak, born on 1 July 1987, is a filmmaker known for directing Drishyam 2 and Ujda Chaman, and producing films including Pyaar Ka Punchnama series, Khuda Haafiz, and Section 375. The son of producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and produces films under Panorama Studios.
Shivaleeka Oberoi, born 24 July 1996, began her career as an assistant director on Kick (2014) and Housefull 3 (2016) before making her acting debut with Yeh Saali Aashiqui (2019). She later starred in Khuda Haafiz (2020), earning recognition for her performances in Hindi films.
