The controversy surrounding the film Kala Hiran has further escalated, with veteran actor Govind Namdev now claiming that the makers misled him about the project he had signed. Namdev, who plays a lawyer in the film, alleged that the story narrated to him and the one he shot were entirely different. The actor’s remarks have come amid Salman Khan’s legal row against the alleged use of his persona in the film, which is believed to be based on the 1998 blackbuck case.
Govind Namdev says he was misled about his role in Kala Hiran
Namdev, during an interview with Amar Ujala, said he was initially told that he was working on a film titled Sambhal, and later on Kala Hiran, adding that he was informed it would only depict courtroom proceedings linked to Salman Khan’s blackbuck case. The actor said he would never be part of anything targeting Salman Khan, whom he considers a close friend, and also said that he would not have signed the project if he had known what was actually being made.
