Kesari Chapter 2 vs Jaat advance booking: Advance booking of every movie is crucial as it offers an early insight into a film’s potential success and viewers interest. Karan Singh Tyagi’s Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh is all set for April 18 release. Ahead of its much-anticipated theatrical release, the film – which features Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in lead roles – has collected over Rs 12 lakh. According to Sacnilk, the film has managed to sell over 4000 tickets in advance bookings so far. Advance booking for Kesari Chapter 2 started on April 16. On the first day, the film sold 4034 tickets for 1948 shows. According to Sacnilk, it earned Rs 12,65,298 (by 2 pm).
For the unversed, the average ticket price costs below Rs 250 across the country. The NCR region is way ahead in the pre-sales among big cities, and earned over Rs 3.54 lakh gross, courtesy blocked seats. Mumbai and Bengaluru have earned Rs 1.48 lakh respectively.
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol’s film Jaat – which has earned Rs 71 crore so far – raked in Rs 59.24 lakh with a sale of 35,392 tickets for 7,388 shows at the domestic box office. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the much-anticipated action thriller had release in theatres on April 10, 2025. With block bookings, the movie’s total collection had reached Rs 2.64 crore. The film managed to register the highest number of bookings in Uttar Pradesh with total collection of Rs 9.99 lakh for 648 shows and Rs 32.07 lakh with block seats.
PM Modi knew Of Kesari 2 from beginning?
Akshay Kumar had recently thanked PM Narendra Modi for acknowledging his film Kesari 2 “from the beginning.” While speaking at the special screening of the film in New Delhi, Akshay thanked Union Minister and BJP leader Hardeep Singh Puri for organising the event. “We are very grateful to Sir (Hardeep Singh Puri) who organised and hosted our film’s screening. I hope people who came to watch it, loved it,” Akshay had told the media after the screening.

Kesari 2 recently received a special mention from PM Modi, who recalled the legacy of lawyer and statesman C. Sankaran Nair. For the unversed, the film is based on his life. It is a sequel to Kesari which had released in 2019. During its run, the film earned Rs 207.09 crore at the box office. Expectations are high from Kesari 2 which could end Akshay’s rough box office run.
