Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa has grabbed attention. The serial went through many changes in the last few months. The story of Anu is now revolving around her daughter, Rahi. She got Rahi married to Prem and then moved to a new life where she met Raghav. Many new actors have entered the show. We now have Shivam Khajuria, Adrija Roy, Randeep Rai, Alka Kaushal, Rahil Azam and others in the show. These new characters have brought new layers to the storyline.
However, the audience is not quite happy with the story and hence, the TRPs have dropped. The show always used to be at the top is now slipping down from the top spot. During IPL 2025, the numbers have dipped more. The makers tried many new things to get back the numbers. However, nothing has been working.
The entry of Raghav and then Aryan also did not help. Randeep Rai recently entered the show as Aryan. He is getting all the love from the audience for his performance. However, the numbers have not been able to go up.
Randeep on Anupamaa’s low TRPs
Randeep has now opened up about the low TRPs of Anupamaa. He said, “TRPs can fluctuate for so many reasons sometimes the story needs a fresh twist, sometimes the audience’s mood changes, or even external factors can play a role. I feel the team is very aware and constantly working hard to deliver what the audience wants. Every show has its phases, and I’m hopeful that with time and new tracks, we’ll bounce back stronger.” This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
He then spoke about being cast in Anupamaa. He shared how the casting happened. The actor said, “It was quite smooth, actually. The team from Directors Kut Productions reached out to me. I had a couple of meetings and narrations with them. When they explained Aryan’s graph, I found it very interesting because it wasn’t a regular, straightforward hero. After some look tests and discussions, things fell into place. I’m very grateful they trusted me with this part.”
