Armaan Malik says marriage is a ‘goal’ he always had and how ‘blessed’ he feels to have found a confidante in wife Aashna Shroff.

Singer Armaan Malik and influencer Aashna Shroff tied the knot on January 2 in an intimate, traditional ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. The couple, who reportedly started dating in 2017, officially announced their relationship in 2023 and got engaged the same year. Their wedding day was a dreamy affair, with every detail thoughtfully personalised. Armaan also released a special wedding EP with Aashna, celebrating their love story through music that perfectly captured the essence of their bond.

Speaking about his married life for the first time, Armaan, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, said, “2025 started on a really nice note for me (smiles). I’ve started a new chapter in my life with my partner, Aashna. I’m really excited and keen to know what life has in store for me.” And what particularly thrills the Besabriyaan singer is being able to share a space with his ‘best friend’ who’s now his wife.

“Living with your best friend is the best thing ever. You constantly have a companion to talk to about everything that you’re going through in life and that’s very rare to have. Bahot logon ke paas ek aisa individual nahi hota hai who they can confide in. I’m blessed and grateful,” remarked Armaan at the launch of Royal Stag Boombox, an experiential music festival, adding that he ‘always wanted an intimate wedding’.

So, how’s married life treating him so far? “Everything has changed. I look at life very differently. I’m not looking at it from Armaan’s lens anymore. I’m looking at it from Armaan and Aashna’s lenses now. I feel like I’ve become even more matured and responsible,” he told us. Talking about how marriage was always on the cards for him, he stated, “I never thought that I would experience such a drastic change in my life. But it’s something I always wanted to do. It’s a goal I always had.”

In fact, he’s rather hopeful that marriage will have a positive impact on all other aspects of his life too. “Sure, there are professional goals we all have but personal goals are important too. I’m so happy that I took this beautiful step in my life. I’m sure that it’s going to be very positive on all fronts of my life. For me, 2025 has truly begun on the best note,” said Armaan.

Last year, while speaking about his then-fiancée Aashna’s influence on his life, Armaan had told us, “I think it’s beautiful to be in love. As a musician, it’s even better because I can transform that emotion into words, lyrics and melodies. It’s beautiful that I get to share my life with someone as amazing as Aashna.” For the unversed, Armaan and Aashna threw a star-studded wedding reception on January 9 that saw musicians like Shankar Mahadevan, Anu Malik, Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan in attendance.
