K-pop legends BIGBANG are officially returning to the global stage. On March 4, YG Entertainment released a strategy announcement video featuring founder Yang Hyun-suk, confirming that BIGBANG will mark its 20th anniversary with a large-scale world tour in 2026. The comeback will feature trio members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, reuniting after years of solo work, military service and hiatus.
While the announcement solidifies the trio’s return, fans are already speculating whether all five original members could reunite for the milestone celebration.
‘BIGSHOW: REBORN’ To Span Continents
The upcoming 2026 tour has been tentatively titled BIGSHOW: REBORN. YG described the project as a generation-defining celebration that will reconnect BIGBANG with fans across eras.
Unlike previous arena-heavy tours, this edition is set to focus on stadium venues across Asia, North America, Europe and Oceania. The tour is expected to run from summer 2026 through spring 2027.
Confirmed stops include an opening in Seoul, followed by Tokyo and Osaka in Japan; Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Toronto in North America; London, Paris and Berlin in Europe; Sydney and Melbourne in Australia; and Bangkok in Southeast Asia. Additional dates in South America and the Middle East are anticipated later in the year.
This marks the group’s third major global trek following the Alive Tour (2012–13) and the Made Tour (2015–16), both of which cemented BIGBANG’s status as one of K-pop’s most influential acts.
New Music And Comeback Timeline
In addition to the tour, a mini-album is reportedly in the works. Though official details remain under wraps, industry buzz suggests the project will blend BIGBANG’s signature anthemic sound with modern global pop influences — including hip-hop, dance music and emotional ballads.
Fans are hoping for a mix reminiscent of their high-energy hits alongside mature, reflective themes of growth and reunion. Teasers for the comeback began appearing on YG’s channels in January 2026, fueling months of speculation before the formal confirmation video dropped this week.
The lead single and mini-album are expected to arrive between March and April 2026, with the world tour likely kicking off mid-year.
