Speaking at a tiranga rally organised by the BJP at August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday said the Indian armed forces, through Operation Sindoor, have broken the backbone of terrorists who sought Pakistan as a safe haven.
The BJP organised the tiranga rally to honour and express gratitude to the Indian armed forces for their courage and success in conducting Operation Sindoor. The party has decided to hold Tiranga rallies across the country.
Speaking at the event, Fadnavis said Operation Sindoor didn’t just prove the Indian armed forces’ extraordinary capabilities but also warned Pakistan against any terrorist activities against India.
“India has given a strong message that it will not buckle before anybody. If anybody dares to attack our civilians or undertake any terrorist activities, it will be hard,” Fadnavis said.
“Our armed forces targeted and destroyed terrorist camps in Pakistan with precision. Our armed forces’ attack took Pakistan by shock as they never would have imagined our India would strike in cities which were till now considered out of bounds,” Fadnavis said.
After the BJP, Congress too had announced holding tiranga rallies across Maharashtra on May 21. State Congress chief Harshvardhan Sapkal said, “After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the entire nation stood united to teach Pakistan a lesson. All opposition parties, including Congress, firmly supported the central government.”
Indian soldiers performed a glorious act of bravery in Operation Sindoor. To salute their courage and express solidarity with all martyrs — from Mahatma Gandhi to those killed in the Pahalgam attack, Congress will organise a Tiranga Yatra across all districts of Maharashtra on May 21, the martyrdom day of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Sapkal announced.
