BLACKPINK’s Rosé is setting the record straight amid growing speculation about tension within the globally popular K-pop group. The singer recently opened up about her relationship with fellow members Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa, firmly dismissing rumours of a fallout.
The 28-year-old superstar appeared on the latest episode of Call Her Daddy with host Alex Cooper, where she reflected on the evolving bond she shares with her bandmates, especially after spending time apart over the past year.
“We’re best friends. We are sisters. We’re like family. We’re colleagues….what else could you say? What else is on the table?” Rosé said during the candid conversation.
“It’s really all of that combined. I do agree that it is a very unique relationship that we have, but over time, more layers have been added on to the type of relationship we have, but even more so, I think it feels more solid.”
‘Time Apart Made Us Stronger,’ Says Rosé
Addressing the period when the four members were frequently travelling separately and focusing on individual projects, Rosé explained how that distance only strengthened their connection.
“As I’ve actually had that one year apart from the girls, which we were very much apart -everyone was so busy flying around the world, like we couldn’t tell who was where – we’ve also created unique experiences outside of BLACKPINK after sharing all of that together and growing together,” she shared.
“We all went out and experienced the world individually past that. But to come back with those experiences, there’s nothing better to feel like there’s somebody that understands exactly how you might have felt or what you feel.”
Rosé also highlighted how the group shares a level of understanding that even family members may not fully grasp.
“It is a unique experience, as everyone has their own…even my actual family doesn’t understand what I feel sometimes…there are so much in my life that BLACKPINK understands,” she added.
Viral Deadline Tour Clip Sparks Fan Backlash
Rosé’s comments come amid intense online chatter following a viral clip from BLACKPINK’s ongoing Deadline Tour. In the video, the four members are seen sitting on the edge of the stage and singing, but fans claimed Jisoo appeared excluded as Rosé, Jennie and Lisa interacted closely.
The clip sparked a wave of concern, with Jisoo later moving to another side of the stage and engaging with fans instead. The moment led to heated reactions online, with several fans accusing the group of favouritism.
One fan wrote, “They did not include a photograph of Jisoo as well. She should leave the group atp.” Another questioned, “Why are they doing that to Jisoo?” while a third added, “3/4 are well known internationally, and they know it.”
