Rishab Shetty is over the moon right now, with Kantara Chapter 1 absolutely killing it at the box office. The film seems to be doing extremely well, raising the bars of the Kannada film industry. The director and lead actor of the film recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share heartfelt thanks to the fans and audience for their continuous love and encouragement. In the post, he also shared pictures from the success party of the film, where the entire cast and crew of Kantara Chapter 1 were seen celebrating the milestone together. Shetty gave the credit of the film’s success to the audience and called the journey truly “historic.”

The filmmaker added, “Standing together, deeply grateful for this historic run. We poured our hearts into the work, but your overwhelming love became the destiny that made it a blockbuster. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making this film a LEGEND.”
Kantara: Chapter 1’s success
Kantara: Chapter 1 recently took over Vicky Kaushal’s period drama Chhava and got the title of the biggest hit of 2025. Just within 37 days, the film has reportedly earned Rs. 615.65 crore. The film’s earnings made history, even crossing the collections of Rajinikanth’s Coolie, the animated film Mahavatar Narsimha, and the YRF hit Saiyaara.

The film features Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah in the lead roles and is a prequel to the folklore/mythology-based action thriller Kantara. The movie explores the mythological story of Daivas.
You can watch the film on Amazon Prime Video, and it is available to stream in multiple languages like Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The Hindi version of the film is also set to drop pretty soon.
