Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is set for its OTT premiere after its theatrical run.
Malayalam action-comedy Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is gearing up for its digital debut after a theatrical run earlier this year. Directed by debutant Adhvaith Nayar, the film created buzz as Malayalam cinema’s first WWE-inspired entertainer when it hit theatres on January 22, 2026. Now, the wrestling drama is ready to step into living rooms.

The film will begin streaming on Netflix from February 19, 2026. The announcement was made via the platform’s official social media handle.
Sharing the update, the team wrote, “Ithu verum costume gusthi maathram alla, ith athukkum mele… onnum nokkanda (This isn’t just costume wrestling, this is way beyond that), Chatha Pacha. Watch Chatha Pacha on Netflix, out February 19, in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.”
The film will be available in multiple languages, expanding its reach beyond Malayalam audiences.
What Is Chatha Pacha About?
Set in Fort Kochi, the story revolves around a group of misfits who come together to form a wrestling collective. What begins as a quirky entertainment venture soon spirals into a tale of bruised egos, personal rivalries, and chaotic power struggles.
As the group tries to establish itself as a wrestling franchise, tensions flare both inside and outside the ring. The narrative explores their dysfunctional dynamics, dramatic face-offs, and intense fight sequences — with even local goons entering the fray.
The heart of the film lies in how these rivalries escalate and how the team navigates ambition, betrayal, and survival.
Cast And Crew
Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies features Roshan Mathew, Arjun Ashokan, Vishak Nair, Ishan Shoukath, Siddique, Lakshmi Menon, Rafi, Carmen S. Mathew, Dartagnan Sabu, Muthumani, Minon, Tosh Christy, Toj Christy, and Thesni Khan in key roles.
Adding star value, Mammootty makes a cameo appearance as “Bullet” Walter Lobo.
The film marks the directorial debut of Adhvaith Nayar, who is also the nephew of superstar Mohanlal. The screenplay is written by Sanoop Thykoodam. Music is composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, while Mujeeb Majeed has handled the background score.
Produced by Shihan Shoukath and Ritesh S. Ramakrishnan under Reel World Entertainment, the film’s cinematography is by Anend C. Chandran, with editing by Praveen Prabhakar.
Box Office Response
Upon its theatrical release, Chatha Pacha received mixed-to-positive reviews. While audiences appreciated the concept and action sequences, criticism was largely directed at the storyline and Mammootty’s brief cameo.
With its OTT premiere now locked, the WWE-inspired Malayalam entertainer will get a second innings on streaming, potentially reaching a wider pan-Indian audience.
