Chiyaan Vikram is currently filming for his next movie, tentatively titled Chiyaan63. Now, it seems that the actor will next collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s former assistant Vishnu Edavan.
Is Vishnu Edavan set to work with Chiyaan Vikram after Hi?
Speaking with Provoke TV, director Vishnu Edavan confirmed that his next project is likely to be with Chiyaan Vikram. The filmmaker said, “Vikram sir has liked the story very much. He has asked me for an action entertainer filled with fun and family elements. The idea he gave aligns with my story very well, and he is such a fun person, a total vibe to be with. When sir says, we will kickstart the project.”
Director Vishnu Edavan is set to make his directorial debut with the romantic drama Hi, after working as an assistant director on films such as Kaithi, Master, and Vikram.
The film is expected to revolve around the relationship between two tenants living in the same residential building. Hi is directed by Vishnu Edavan, who previously worked as an assistant director to Lokesh Kanagaraj. Jen Martin has composed the songs and background score, Rajesh Shukla serves as the cinematographer, and Philomin Raj is the editor.
Chiyaan Vikram’s work front
Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2. Directed by SU Arun Kumar, the action thriller also starred Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah, and Suraj Venjaramoodu in key roles.
The film followed the story of a former bad man who now leads a peaceful life as a provision store owner. However, when an upright officer threatens to harm his former boss’s son, Kaali is forced back into a world of violence to protect his family and confront his past, leading to a tense, single-night conflict. The film is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.
The actor is currently working on his next release, tentatively titled Chiyaan63. Directed by Anand Shankar, the film is set to feature Sarvam Maya actress Riya Shibu as the female lead. Moreover, MS Bhaskar and Urvashi are also playing key roles. While an official release date has yet to be finalised, reports suggest that the film may hit the big screens by the end of 2026 or in early 2027.
