Chiyaan Vikram confirms Chiyaan63 with debutant Bodi Rajkumar, replacing Maaveeran director Madonne Ashwin. The makers dropped a powerful new poster teasing an action-packed film.

Chiyaan Vikram has officially announced his next film, Chiyaan 63, under the direction of debutant Bodi Rajkumar.

After weeks of speculation, actor Chiyaan Vikram has officially announced his next big project, tentatively titled Chiyaan 63. However, contrary to earlier reports suggesting that the Maaveeran director Madonne Ashwin would helm the project, the makers have now confirmed that the film will instead be directed by debutant Bodi Rajkumar.

The production house Shanthi Talkies unveiled the news with a striking new poster, confirming the fresh collaboration and marking the beginning of an “exciting journey.”

Bodi Rajkumar to Make His Feature Film Debut

Taking to social media, the producers wrote, “Beginning of an exciting journey! Happy to announce Bodi Rajkumar as our director for #Chiyaan63. We are elated that a debutant is directing a powerhouse like Chiyaan Vikram sir!”

The announcement poster features a mysterious figure, presumably Vikram, standing in front of a vintage car, surrounded by menacing silhouettes — a scene that oozes intensity and signals a high-octane narrative.

While plot details remain tightly under wraps, sources suggest that Bodi Rajkumar is a filmmaker known for his acclaimed short films and visual storytelling. Chiyaan 63 will mark his first foray into Tamil feature cinema.

Interestingly, this film will be Vikram’s first collaboration with a debutant director in over two decades. The last time the National Award-winning actor worked with a newcomer was in 2003 for Samurai, which marked Balaji Sakthivel’s directorial debut.

Project Direction Shift From Madonne Ashwin

Earlier this year, Vikram had taken to social media to reveal that he would be teaming up with Madonne Ashwin, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Maaveeran and Mandela, for his 63rd project. However, the latest update confirms a change in direction, as the producers appear to have opted to bring in new talent for the high-profile film.

Despite the creative switch, anticipation remains high, with fans eager to see what Vikram’s collaboration with a young filmmaker like Bodi Rajkumar will bring to the table.

Chiyaan Vikram’s Recent Projects

Vikram was last seen in SU Arun Kumar’s action thriller Veera Dheera Sooran, where he portrayed Kaali, a reformed henchman forced to confront his violent past to protect his family. The film received praise for Vikram’s powerhouse performance and gripping storytelling.

The movie also starred SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan, Prudhvi Raj, Baalaji SU, and Maala Parvathi in pivotal roles.

With Chiyaan 63, Vikram looks set to dive once again into an intense, character-driven world — this time under the fresh vision of a debutant director. As fans await more details, one thing is certain: wherever Chiyaan Vikram goes, cinematic thunder follows.
