FIH Hockey Pro League, India vs Ireland Live Scores: Nilakanta, Akashdeep put India up 2-0 in Q1 | Hockey News

India vs Ireland FIH Pro League Live Score: Harmanpreet Singh and Co will be back in action on Sunday to end the Odisha leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League with a match against Ireland at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela. The last time these two teams met, India eked out a narrow 1-0 win over Ireland.

The Indian men’s team held Australia to a 2-2 draw in regulation time last night before missing out on a bonus in a lackluster shootout that they lost 0-3. Skipper Harmanpreet Singh (20th minute) and Amit Rohidas (29th minute) scored for the home team, while Blake Govers and Tom Craig (53rd minute) found the target for Australia.

In their fourth shootout of the season, India failed to score a goal while Australia struck all three as Johan Durst enjoyed a memorable night. India were on their way to a rare win against the mighty Australian hockey team and end their unbeaten run in the Odisha leg until Craig Tom scored in the fourth and final quarter to take the match into the shootout.

The match against Ireland means it is another reunion for India hockey head coach Craig Fulton who once coached the Europeans.
