Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler are gearing up for the release of the live-action movie Snow White, bringing back the magic of Disney’s animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was released in 1937. Both actresses have been actively promoting their upcoming fantasy film, which is scheduled to be released on March 21. However, one of the latest promotional events for Snow White has caught attention on the Internet.
On Sunday, March 16, the Wonder Woman actress was all smiles as she stepped into Disneyland in Anaheim, California, to promote her new film. But what surprised everyone was Rachel’s absence from the event. Gal, who portrays the Evil Queen in the reimagined fairytale, was seen posing for photos with Mickey and Minnie Mouse as well as a line-up of classic Disney villains. Sporting a strapless maroon-hued leather dress, the 39-year-old actress was also seen sharing sweet moments with her young fans who were dressed as her character in Snow White.
Disney Studios dropped the pictures on their official Instagram account, writing in the caption, “The iconic @gal_gadot thrilled fans at the Disneyland Resort this afternoon, taking her place among Disney’s classic villains. Gal also got to meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, previewing their new outfits for @Disneyland’s 70th Celebration, kicking off on May 16, 2025. See the Evil Queen in Disney’s #SnowWhite, in theaters this Friday!” But Rachel, who plays the titular role, was MIA from the event.
Gal Gadot’s solo appearance comes amid swirling rumours of a tension between the Snow White co-stars. Previously, a source exclusively told People that Gal and Rachel have “nothing in common” due to their huge age gap. “On top of that, their political views differ, adding to the tension,” revealed the insider.
Another source told the media outlet that “Gal is annoyed by the movie drama.” The same source further added that the Heart of Stone actress enjoyed filming for the Disney remake and “was fine with Rachel, but they are not friends.” “They have nothing in common… They did a job together, and that’s it,” said the insider.
As for Snow White, the live-action fantasy film directed by Marc Webb and written by Great Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson will also feature a star-studded cast of Andrew Burnap, Martin Klebba and Ansu Kabia, among others, in supporting roles.
