Casting coup gets serious

Parvathy Thiruvothu has joined Kartik Aaryan’s Captain India, which will be helmed by Shimit Amin. The survival thriller, inspired by a real-life rescue mission, features Kartik as a pilot who leads an evacuation operation, with Manish Chaudhary also in a key role. Parvathy, who was last seen in a cameo in Tu Yaa Main, is said to have come on board after being impressed by the script. Produced by Baweja Studios and T-Series, the film is expected to be shot in India and Morocco. It is slated to release next year.
