Another student preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination died by suicide in Rajasthan’s Kota. This is the second suicide this month in relation to the increasing exam stress among students.
The 18-year-old girl hailing from Kota’s Borkheda was found hanging at her residence, an NDTV report said. Although her family took swift actions in the situation and hospitalised the girl, she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Police have launched a probe into the matter and have sent the girl’s corpse for post-mortem. Cops have also recovered a suicide note from the student’s residence.
“Mummy Papa, I can’t do JEE. So I suicide. I am loser. I worst daughter. Sorry Mummy, Papa. This is the last option I have,” the suicide note read.
Police said that the deceased was living with her father — employed in a bank — and was repeating Class 12. The girl was struggling with immense amount of pressure due to the competitive exams.
Even after dedicating over seven hours to her studies each day, she was left in a highly stressed situation.
