Team India outclassed England in the ODI series to secure a 3-0 clean sweep after a 142-run victory in the final match played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Shubman Gillโs Century and fifties from Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer highlighted the batting after which Indian bowlers put class performance as well to help the hosts haunt the England side.
The Men in Blue outclassed and outperformed the visitors in all departments and ended their final assignment before the much-awaited Champions Trophy 2025.
Batting first, Rohit Sharma was dismissed cheaply for 1 run in the 2nd over. But Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli put up a solid partnership of 116 runs for the second wicket. Virat Kohli smashed his 73rd fifty in the match overcoming his batting woes.
After the dismissal of Kohli, Shubman Gill joined hands with Shreyas Iyer to make a 104-run partnership for the 3rd wicket.
Gill went on to score a hundred and continued to score 112 runs in 102 deliveries. However his dismissal foresaw crumble in Indiaโs batting line up.
Shreyas Iyer smashed an impressive 78 run knock off 64 deliveries and further strengthened the attack. The wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul who scored 40 runs off 29 deliveries has further contributed in the match.

Adil Rashid picked four wickets while Mark Wood picked two wickets in the match. Saqib Mahmood, Gus Atkinson and Joe Root has picked one wicket each.
With a target of 357 runs, England openers Phil Salt and Ben Duckett opened the side. Despite scoring runs they went on to suffer regular dismissal. No batsmen crossed the individual 50+ score.
Tom Banton and Gus Atkinson were the highest scorers for England scoring each 38 runs each. However, the England line up got shattered by the Indiaโs bowling attack.
During the 35th over, England lost all 10 wickets scoring only 214 runs in the match.
India has suffered a major blow with Bumrah being ruled out for the ICC event. However, he clean sweep win would boost a major confidence boost for the Men in Blues ahead of the Champions Trophy.
