IPL 2026 Lucknow Super Giants Retained, Released, Sold and Unsold Players List, Full Squad

IPL 2026 Lucknow Super Giants Retained, Released, Sold and Unsold Players List, Full Squad

LSG Team 2026 Players List: Uncapped Rajasthan cricketer Mukul Choudhary was signed up by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 2.6 crore at the IPL mini auction in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. They then added left-arm pacer Naman Tiwari to their burgeoning roster of pacers, snapping him up for Rs 1 crore from base price of Rs 30 lakh. Earlier, Sri Lanka allrounder Wanindu Hasaranga was snapped up at base price by LSG as their first signing. Hasaranga has been a part of RCB and RR in the past, picking up 46 wickets in the 37 matches he has played in the league across four seasons. LSG also went big after another Sri Lankan in Matheesha Pathirana, before KKR swooped in and got the pacer for Rs 18 crore. But soon after LSG got South African speedster Anrich Nortje also at base price of Rs 2 crore. Nortje has been cranking up the pace in the ongoing India vs South Africa series.

Although Lucknow Super Giants started the 2025 campaign well, they lost their bearings halfway through the season. Rishabh Pant’s form was a major concern for the franchise alongside their bowling returns. Their batting was filled with firepower, but the bowling lacked the same cutting edge and in the auction, that might be the area LSG will be looking to strengthen to have a good 2026 campaign. As per their retentions the franchise released Ravi Bishnoi after having placed a lot of faith in retaining him before the mega auction, with the spinner being let go after a less than impressive season to go with the rise of Digvesh Rathi. LSG have also let go of David Miller and Akash Deep while retaining most of their core.

LSG have also been shopping, acquiring veteran Indian pacer Mohammed Shami from Sunrisers Hyderabad for a hefty sum of Rs. 10 crore. To further consolidate a pace attack that was marred by injuries last season, they also brought in Arjun Tendulkar from the Mumbai Indians for Rs. 30 lakh.
