Samantha Ruth Prabhu tied the knot with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru on Monday, December 1. The couple who have been hush-hush about their relationship got married at Isha Foundation’s Linga Bhairavi Temple in Coimbatore.

Samantha confirmed the news by posting a bunch of pictures from the wedding on Instagram. She simply wrote, “01.12.2025” and added heart emojis.

As congratulatory messages pour in from all sides, some social media users are also asking whether Raj is part of the famous filmmaker duo Raj & DK. The short answer is yes.

Raj and his friend Krishna Dasarakothapalli, better known as DK, are a renowned filmmaker duo.

They are known for their unique blend of comedy and thriller genres in Indian cinema. Their breakthrough came with Stree (2018), after which there was no looking back.

Raj and DK forayed into the world of web series too, with the now-popular spy thriller The Family Man. Led by Manoj Bajpayee, the Prime Video show returned for its 3rd season recently.

Raj was born in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, to a Telugu family on August 4, 1975. Meanwhile, his friend was born in Chittoor, AP. They met while studying at the SVU College of Engineering,

The iconic duo also made films and series like Shor in the City (2011), Go Goa Gone (2013), Farzi (2023), Guns & Gulaabs (2023), and Citadel: Honey Bunny (2024). They made their debut with the 2009 short, Hindi feature film 99.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj Nidimoru are believed to have met when the actress was shooting for The Family Man season 2. Samantha was also a part of Citadel: Honey Bunny.

Raj Nidimoru’s former wife is filmmaker-writer Shhyamali De, while Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya.

According to reports, Samantha and Raj started dating last year after they started working on Citadel. The two, however, never confirmed the speculation even though they were spotted together at several events.
