There’s ain’t no one who dresses up like the Kardashians. Every time the sisters step out, they cause a stir with their extravagant sartorial choices. Recently, Kim Kardashian turned heads when she attended the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Art+Film Gala on November 2 In Los Angeles, wearing a vintage jewellery piece. The Skims founder wore Princess Diana’s amethyst cross.
Kim K made waves by wearing a white custom floor-length Gucci gown featuring a plunging neckline paired with a dramatic coat. She opted for a pearl choker, a pearl-diamond choker and teamed it with one of her prized possessions, the Attallah Cross necklace. The cross pendant is adorned with floral designs that are further enhanced using square-cut amethysts and circular-cut diamonds. One of the late princess’ favourite jewels, Kim bought it last year at the Sotheby’s London’s Royal and Noble auction for nearly $200,000. The business mogul opted for bob hair and nude makeup with the dress and the jewellery.
Princess Diana wore the same necklace in October 1987 for a charity ball in support of Birthright, which is a charitable organisation working towards the protection of human rights during pregnancy and childbirth. The late royal had worn the Attallah Cross with a black and burgundy Catherine Walker velvet dress. While Princess Diana kept the string of the necklace long in its original form, Kim K decided to wear it differently and shorten its length by layering it around her neck.
Other popular celebrities who graced the LACMA Gala were Blake Lively, Charli XCX, Kaia Gerber, Natasha Poonawalla, Moon Ga Young, Dev Patel, Laura Dern, Andrew Garfield, Viola Davis and others.
Just days before this iconic look, Kim Kardashian once again took the internet by storm with her Halloween look. She dressed as an albino alligator, and she used green lenses and prosthetic makeup to get into the look. The Skims founder looked completely unrecognisable in the getup as she was head to toe covered in artificial scales. Sharing some glimpses of her look on her Instagram account, the 44-year-old socialite wrote, “Albino Alligator by @thealexisstone.”
Speaking of Kim Kardashian’s work, the multi-hyphenate personality was most recently seen on the fifth season of the reality show The Kardashians.
