La La Land
The 2016 musical romance La La Land starred Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. The story revolves around Mia (Emma Stone), who is an aspiring actress, Mia, who works as a barista while she waits for her big break, and a struggling musician, Sebastian. The two start dating and end up falling in love. This bagged six Oscars and is still one of the best romances of the 21st century.
Poor Things
Emma Stone leads this darkly comedic tale about a female Frankenstein navigating her adolescence. After her heartbreaking suicide, Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe) brings Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman, back to life. Even as an adult, Bella acts like a child due to Dr. Baxter gave her an infant’s brain. The actress gave an outstanding performance.
Crazy, Stupid, Love
This 2011 romantic comedy focuses on Cal Weaver, played by Steve Carell, whose life is turned upside down when his wife asks for a divorce after having an affair. To cope, Cal starts visiting a nearby bar and discussing his wife with women. Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling), a womaniser, notices Cal’s despair and takes him under his wing. Jacob gradually realises that he only wants to win the heart of one girl, Hannah (Emma Stone).
Easy A
Easy A is unquestionably a tribute to all of the greatest romantic films from the 1980s. An intelligent high school girl named Olive (Emma Stone) accidentally convinces the whole school that she’ll hook up with anyone for cash. The film explores romance, agency, and choice.

Emma plays aspiring author Skeeter Phelan in this film, who collaborates with the African American maids in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1963 to share their experiences.
The Amazing Spider-Man

The most recent work by Emma and Lanthimos is a black comedy remake of Save the Green Planet!, a 2003 South Korean film. She portrays Michelle Fuller, the CEO of a pharmaceutical company, who is abducted by Teddy (Jesse Plemons), a conspiracy theorist who thinks Michelle is part of an invading alien race that is in charge of the human race.

In Craig Gillespie’s supervillain origin story, Emma portrays the role of Cruella de Vil. An orphan who turns to stealing out of need, she aspires to be a fashion designer and, when offered the opportunity by a cold couturier (Emma Thompson), finds that she has the secret to her tragic past.
