The trailer for the upcoming romantic comedy Loveyapa has dropped, offering a delightful blend of love, drama, and chaos. Starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, the film explores the quirks of modern relationships, with the story taking a dramatic turn when the couple exchanges phones, exposing hidden secrets and challenges.

Released on Friday, the trailer begins with lighthearted moments, showcasing the effortless chemistry between Gaurav (Junaid) and Baani (Khushi). The plot kicks off as Baani’s father, played by Ashutosh Rana, gives the duo a challenge to swap phones and prove their love. This playful test quickly escalates into a whirlwind of revelations, as the phone exchange unveils cryptic messages, past relationships, and unexpected truths that threaten their bond.

On December 26, Phantom Studios officially announced the film on Instagram, unveiling a poster featuring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan. Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa is set to release in theaters on February 7, 2025. The film, a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today, also stars Kiku Sharda in a supporting role.

For Junaid Khan, Loveyapa marks his first venture into romantic comedy after his acclaimed performance in Maharaj. The makers have promised a “heartwarming tale enriched with unforgettable performances, lively music, and stunning visuals,” making the film a fresh take on modern romance.

Previously, speaking to ANI, Aamir Khan expressed his admiration for the film and its cast. He said, “I have watched the rough cut. I liked this film. It is very entertaining. The way our lives have turned out these days due to cellphones, and the interesting things that happen in our life due to this have been shown here. All the actors have done a good job. When I watched the film and saw Khushi (Kapoor), I felt that I was watching Sridevi. Her energy was there, I could see. I am a huge fan of Sridevi.”

Loveyapa is slated to release on February 7, 2025. Directed by Advait Chandan, who previously helmed Laal Singh Chaddha, the romantic comedy is produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, with global distribution by Zee Studios. Touted as a heartwarming modern love story, the film promises lively music, stunning visuals, and unforgettable performances.

Reportedly, Loveyapa is a remake of the 2022 Tamil hit Love Today, which was directed by and starred Pradeep Ranganathan. The film explores how modern relationships are shaped by the omnipresence of technology, a theme that resonates with today’s audiences.
