National seminar at CPCRI Kayamkulam to address biosecurity threats in horticultural crops


The Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Regional Station, Kayamkulam, will host a three-day national seminar on ‘Biosecurity Threats and Management in Horticultural Crops’ from April 22 to 24.

The seminar aims at raising awareness within the scientific community of invasive plants, pests, and diseases. It will feature three technical sessions and one workshop. Among the key participants are S.K. Singh, Deputy Director, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR); J.P. Singh, Plant Protection Adviser, Government of India; N.K. Krishna Kumar, former Deputy Director General, ICAR; George V. Thomas, former Director, CPCRI; T.P. Rajendran, former Assistant Director General, ICAR; and K.B. Hebbar, Director, CPCRI.
