Rajamouli garu even called me and said that was the point where he began enjoying the film. Why would I take credit for story, screenplay, and direction if this were a remake of Theri? It is not a remake. Since it is a cop story, people may draw comparisons with Theri, Temper, Gabbar Singh, and others. But that does not make it a remake. In fact, the anthyakshari scene in Theri was inspired by Gabbar Singh. So why would I remake something that was borrowed from my film?” he was quoted saying.
