Weeks after veteran actor Prem Chopra was hospitalized at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, his son-in-law, actor Sharman Joshi, shared details about his health. On Instagram, Sharman Joshi revealed that Prem Chopra was diagnosed with severe Aortic Stenosis and underwent a successful TAVI procedure, which is a way to fix the narrowed aortic valve without open-heart surgery. He also said that Prem Chopra recovered quickly and is now back home.

Sharman expressed his family’s gratitude for the excellent treatment Prem Chopra received from Dr. Nitin Gokhale and Dr. Ravinder Singh Rao. He said Dr. Rao performed the TAVI procedure successfully and Dr. Gokhale’s guidance gave them confidence. Their expertise made sure the treatment went smoothly and Prem Chopra recovered fast.

Sharman also shared some photos from the hospital where Prem Chopra looked healthy with his doctors. Veteran actor Jeetendra was also seen in the pictures, suggesting he visited Prem Chopra in the hospital.

Earlier in November, Prem Chopra was admitted to Lilavati Hospital because of chest congestion and was discharged a week later on November 15.

Prem Chopra, who turned 90 on September 23, 2025, remains one of Indian cinema’s most iconic on-screen antagonists. With over 380 films to his name, he carved an unforgettable space for himself in Bollywood through his charismatic performances and distinctive, stylish villainy.
