Sussanne Khan and Zayed Khan’s mother Zarine Khan passed away on November 7 at the age of 81. She had been battling age-related health issues for some time before her demise. Celebrities such as Hrithik Roshan, Saba Azad, Jackie Shroff, Bobby Deol, Jaya Bachchan and others paid their last respects to Zarine, and were seen offering condolences to her family. Priyanka Chopra has now shared an emotional note mourning Zarine Khan’s demise, and remembering her with affection. She wrote that she will forever remember her with the greatest joy.

On Friday, Priyanka Chopra shared a picture of Zarine Khan from her birthday celebration, and remembered her with love and affection. Expressing her grief over Zarine’s death, she wrote, “Will always remember you with the greatest joy and incredible energy. You will be very missed Zarine aunty.” Check out her Instagram story below.

A few hours ago, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra also shared a post mourning Zarine Khan’s demise. “RIP my dearest friend. You will be so missed !!” she wrote. Meanwhile, Kajol also expressed her heartbreak and wrote, “What a heart wrenching loss! Shocked and saddened..deepest condolences and prayers to the whole family..(broken heart emoji).”

Zarine Khan’s last rites were performed at Juhu crematorium today. Family members and close friends arrived for the funeral. Her son Zayed Khan broke down as he performed her last rites.

Zarine is survived by her husband, and children Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan and Zayed Khan. She was a renowned model, actress and interior designer who made her mark in the 1960s and 1970s. Known for her striking beauty and poise, she was among the early faces who helped shape India’s fashion and advertising industry. Zarine also appeared in Hindi films, with notable roles in movies such as Tere Ghar Ke Samne (1963), where she starred alongside Dev Anand.

However, she was best known beyond her on-screen presence for her marriage to actor-director Sanjay Khan. The couple met in the late 1960s and eventually got married, becoming one of the most glamorous pairs in Bollywood’s social circles.
