Priyanka continues to divide her time between the US and India as she shoots for SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film, tentatively titled SSMB 29.
Priyanka Chopra has made an impact across Bollywood and Hollywood.
Priyanka Chopra is set to be honoured at the prestigious fourth annual Gold House Gala, which will be held on May 10 at the Music Centre in Downtown Los Angeles. The actress will be recognised alongside notable names like Megan Thee Stallion, director Ang Lee and filmmaker Jon M. Chu, Variety reported.
The Gold House Gala celebrates the annual A100 List, a selection of the 100 most impactful Asian Pacific changemakers in culture. This year’s list will be unveiled on May 1, ahead of the gala, which will welcome over 600 guests from across industries.
Priyanka will be presented with the inaugural Global Vanguard Honour for her extraordinary 25-year career that has bridged Eastern and Western entertainment industries. From her celebrated work in Hindi cinema to her global success in Hollywood, the actress has consistently pushed boundaries and championed underrepresented voices on a global stage.
Gold House CEO and co-founder Bing Chen described the gala as more than just an event. “The Gold Gala is more than just the biggest Asian Pacific event — it’s a platform for launching the next wave of culture,” he said. Referring to this year’s theme, First Light, Chen noted that they are recognising “those who have been the first not just for themselves, but for everyone who’s lit after.”
Meanwhile, Priyanka continues to divide her time between the US and India as she shoots for SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film, tentatively titled SSMB 29, starring Mahesh Babu. This marks Priyanka’s return to Indian cinema after her 2019 film The Sky Is Pink. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in a key role.
The project officially commenced with a private puja ceremony and a brief shooting schedule in Hyderabad, followed by a second schedule in Odisha. However, the shoot in Odisha faced challenges due to leaked footage from the sets. In response, the makers implemented a “three-layer security arrangement” to ensure tighter protection going forward.
Written by Rajamouli’s father, V. Vijayendra Prasad, SSMB 29 is expected to hit theatres in 2027.
