Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan stepped out to cast his vote as part of the Maharashtra Election s 2024. The veteran writer headed to his designated polling booth with his wife, Salma Khan on Wednesday afternoon. They were surrounded by several bodyguards.
In videos shared on X and Instagram, Salim was seen walking into the polling booth with the help of his aides. Salma followed his lead. After the casting their votes, the couple flaunted their inked fingers. Check out the videos below:
Salim and Salma stepped out amid security threats to Salman Khan. For the unversed, Salman has been tackling death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi has been targetting Salman for a while now. The gangster is seemingly upset with the Bollywood star over the alleged blackbuck poaching case. The actor was accused of poaching blackbucks in a village in Rajasthan, in 1998. The accusations led to Salman getting entangled in a massive legal row. The case went on for 26 years and Salman was arrested. He was then released on bail, acquitted, convicted and released on bail again.
Lawrence and alleged members of his gang have been sending his threat messages for a while now. Salim Khan had once received a letter threatening Salman. A couple also threatened Salim by taking Bishnoi’s name earlier this year during his walk. Ever since, the father-son duo, Salim and Salman’s security has been tightened.
