Chris Noth appears to slam Sarah Jessica Parker’s Golden Globes honour in an Instagram exchange, three years after sexual assault allegations surfaced.

Chris Noth has stirred fresh controversy following a reaction that many fans interpreted as a dig at his former Sex and the City co-star Sarah Jessica Parker. The actor’s remarks surfaced just days after Parker was honoured with the Carol Burnett Award at the Golden Globe Awards.

On January 6, Parker received the prestigious honour during the CBS and Paramount primetime special Golden Eve, celebrating her contributions to television. Three days later, on January 9, Noth, 71, shared a photo of himself at the gym on Instagram, captioning it, “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”

What followed in the comments section quickly caught public attention. A fan commented, “You mean f–k SJP & her award right? lol.” Noth appeared to endorse the remark by replying, “right.”

Noth’s response instantly triggered a wave of reactions across social media. Some fans expressed shock, with one writing, “WHAT DID I MISS SOMETHING 😭😭😭😭,” while another commented, “LMFAOOOO WOAH?????😭.” Others came to Parker’s defence, with one user remarking, “He’s just bitter that they [wrote] him off the show.”

The incident revived conversations around Noth’s exit from the Sex and the City revival series And Just Like That…. Noth appeared in only one episode of the reboot, where his iconic character Mr. Big died in the premiere episode. Reports later revealed that he was initially set to return for the season one finale in a scene alongside Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw.

However, following multiple sexual assault allegations against Noth, the scene was cut. TV Line reported at the time that although Noth and Parker had filmed scenes together in Paris, the footage would “not make it to air.”

Noth has consistently denied all allegations made against him. Married to Tara Wilson since 2012, the actor rejected claims by two women who accused him of rape, describing the allegations as “categorically false.” He maintained that the encounters were consensual.
