A fresh report suggests that veteran actor Saurabh Shukla will soon resume shooting the remaining portions of Shah Rukh Khan’s King.

After setting the box office on fire in 2023, Shah Rukh Khan is now all set to return with his next action thriller, King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film will also star Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, Saurabh Shukla, and Raghav Juyal in key roles. It is one of the most-awaited films of 2026. The first look and Shah Rukh Khan’s kickass avatar have already left the audience quite excited. Now, a fresh report suggests that veteran actor Saurabh Shukla will soon resume shooting for his remaining portions.

Saurabh Shukla shares an update on King shoot

The senior actor was recently busy promoting his directorial venture, Jab Khuli Kitaab. His film stars Pankaj Kapur, Dimple Kapadia, and Aparshakti Khurana in the lead. For his directorial, he had taken a break from the King shoot. While speaking to Mid-Day, Saurabh Shukla talked about King Khan’s film. He said, “I shot for it [last year], and I will shoot the remaining portions [soon].”

Not much is revealed about his role in the film, but it would surely be interesting to see such great actors coming together for a grand film.

During the conversation with the publication, Saurabh Shukla also reflected on his two releases, Anil Kapoor’s Subedaar and Jab Khuli Kitaab, reflecting a different side of his craft. He said, “I’m a firm believer that there is only one life. So, I have no plans of saying, ‘I will act in this life, and direct in the next. I always say, ‘If you want to be an actor, please write. Look at paintings, sing, pursue music because it gives you a sense of rhythm. Everything is interrelated.”

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that SRK and Suhana shot a major scene set during Vijayadashami celebrations in Mumbai. For the sequence, the makers reportedly created a massive set that recreated the scale and energy of a festive procession. Reports also revealed that they shot the scene across eight nights. During the sequence, Suhana also performed several action stunts, hinting at an action-packed role in the film.

King is set to hit theatres on 24th December 2026.
