Shahid Kapoor has been enjoying his vacation after back to back shoot. In a rare instance, Shahid Kapoor treated fans with family moments, and it has taken over the internet. The actor loves to keep his family life personal, especially when it comes to his kids, Misha and Zain.
Taking to his Instagram stories, he shared a photo in which his kids and wife are enjoying breakfast. And in the second photo, he clicked his kids and wished everything for them. Shahid Kapoor prefers to keep his children away from the glitz and glam of the Bollywood spotlight as he wants them to have some normalcy in their childhood years. He knows that it is inevitable that they will realise their father’s fame once they grow older. “I want them to stay as close to normalcy as they can… But beyond the point, it is what it is. As they grow older, they will become more aware, but we don’t do anything to bring it up. If any questions come up, we try to answer them in the best way that we can as parents; that’s it. It is what it is,” Shahid said in a chat with Hindustan Times.

In the same chat, Shahid Kapoor also reflected on his career and how his film choices have evolved over the years. Shahid shared, “When I started out with Ishq Vishk, my approach to acting was much simpler. I was the quintessential romantic guy, and the roles were fairly straightforward. But with every film and every phase of life, my relationship with the craft has evolved.”
“Over time, I found myself gravitating toward characters with more depth—people with layers, contradictions, and grey zones. I enjoy diving into what drives them, what challenges them, and even what they’re trying to conceal. That internal complexity excites me far more today. Somewhere along the way, authenticity became more important to me than delivering a perfectly polished performance. I’m interested in truth, vulnerability, and the nuances that make a character feel real—and that shift has completely transformed how I approach my work,” he concluded.

Pinkvilla reported that the teasers of Raja Shivaji and Cocktail 2 will be released in cinemas with the Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2.
According to a report in Mid Day, the decision to schedule Cocktail 2 six months after Shahid Kapoor’s earlier release, O’ Romeo, was carefully planned. This gap ensures that both films get their own space and allows audiences to embrace Shahid in a fresh avatar. “The gap was very consciously planned. O’ Romeo and Cocktail 2 are very different films, and no one wanted them stepping on each other’s toes. Six months gives Shahid the space to arrive with a new energy and image. From a trade point of view, it makes sense. Audiences need time to move on from one character before embracing the next. September gives Cocktail 2 its own identity,” a source told the portal.
Talking about Cocktail 2, the movie is a sequel to the 2012 romantic drama Cocktail, which originally featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in lead. Cocktail 2 will star Shahid Kapoor alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in leading roles. The sequel is said to be produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films.
