South films have once again arrived at various OTT streaming services offering some of the biggest releases that happened in theaters recently to the small screens.
With various films already running online, here’s a list of OTT movies that you should check out right now or be on the lookout in the following days.
South OTT releases to check out this week
1. Bagheera (Kannada)

Bagheera starring Srii Murali in the lead role is a Kannada-language superhero movie, directed by Dr Suri based on a story by Prashanth Neel. The movie follows the life of Vedanth Prabhakar, a man who once aspired to become a superhero but later decided to become a police officer like his father.
However, after a major string of gangsters are let go from jail by higher officials, the man decides to don a mask and vanquish everyone under the name, Bagheera. Appearing corrupt as a police officer and serving justice at night. The rest of the film focuses on how Bagheera enacts justice in his society and the trials he faces in its course.
The movie is also the first-ever Kannada film to stream on Netflix and is the highest-grossing movie in the industry for 2024.
2. Kishkindha Kaandam (Malayalam)

Kishkindha Kaandam starring Asif Ali in the lead role is set in a monkey-infested village of the Kallepathi reserve forest where a former military officer Appu Pillai and his forest officer son Ajay Chandran reside.
After Ajay’s marriage, strange occurrences start to happen around them, prompting the newlyweds and forest officers to go on a mysterious tale, unfolding the secrets lying dormant. The film which was released back in September was well-received by the audience and critics, emerging as the highest grosser in Asif’s career.
3. KA (Telugu)

Ka, starring Kiran Abbavaram in the lead role, is a period-action thriller film directed by duo Sujith and Sandeep. The movie focuses on a postman called Abhinaya Vasudev, who has a habit of reading other people’s letters.
One day, he wakes up in an interrogation cell with no memory of how he got there. A mysterious interrogator attempts to extract hidden secrets from him using hypnosis. The remainder of the fantasy thriller movie revolves around the secrets buried deep within him and how the deeds he did come out into the light.
4. Martin (Kannada)

Dhruva Sarja starrer Martin, directed by AP Arjun and written by Arjun Sarja is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The movie focuses on the story of Arjun Saxena, a navy officer who finds himself in a prison in Pakistan.
After losing his memories from being injected with severe drugs, the man has to go on a journey to find himself while also trying to figure out who is Martin, a dreaded gangster.
5. Lucky Baskhar (Telugu)
- Cast: Dulquer Salmaan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ramki, Hyper Aadi, Surya Sreenivas, Sai Kumar, Surya Sreenivas

Dulquer Salmaan starrer movie Lucky Baskhar is a crime thriller movie, directed by Venky Atluri. The film focuses on the story of Baskhar, a middle-class banker who lives a quaint life with his wife and son.
While struggling from paycheck to paycheck to support his family and battling debt, the man indulges in the world of financial scams and tries to make a fortune out of the activities. The film focuses on how the banker manages to rise up to the glory of fortune, and how it changes him and his life throughout the process. The movie is all set to start streaming on Netflix from November 28, 2024.
