Sussanne, Zayed Khan’s Mother Zarine Katrak No More: Bobby Deol, Jaya Bachchan Arrive To Offer Condolence

Interior designer and Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan took to Instagram to pen a moving tribute to her mother, Zarine Khan, who passed away on November 7 at the age of 81. The wife of veteran actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan, Zarine was a well-known interior designer and social personality herself.

Sussanne shared a beautiful montage of photos and videos featuring precious family moments — from her childhood pictures with Zarine and her siblings to warm celebrations over the years. The montage also featured a recent photograph of Sussanne with her mother and her current partner Arsalan Goni, offering a glimpse into their close family bond.

In the caption accompanying the post, Sussanne wrote, “My bestest friend, my God, my life… our beautiful mummy, you are always going to be our guiding light.” She remembered how her mother had taught her and her siblings to live life with grace and independence, adding that she was “the epitome of grace and love.”

Expressing her grief, she continued, “We love you beyond love, beyond life… and from now until we all meet again and laugh and dance together, you will teach the angels in heaven how to love. They are so lucky to have you.”

Sussanne ended her note with a heartfelt sign-off, saying, “You took all our hearts with you,” tagging her siblings Farah Khan Ali, Simone Arora, and Zayed Khan, along with her father Sanjay Khan.

Zarine Khan reportedly passed away at her Mumbai residence due to age-related health complications. Her last rites were held the same day at Santa Cruz Hindu Crematorium, attended by close family and friends. Her former son-in-law Hrithik Roshan and his partner Saba Azad were among those present, alongside Jackie Shroff, Rakul Preet Singh, and other members of the film fraternity who came to pay their last respects.

Zarine is survived by her husband Sanjay Khan, daughters Farah, Simone, and Sussanne, and son Zayed.
