Actor Swara Bhasker took to social media to react after her husband and political activist Fahad Ahmad was arrested by Mumbai Police during a CJP protest in the city. Fahad was detained, along with other protesters, during a demonstration at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar. Swara slammed the act by the police, calling it a “shameful state of affairs”.

Swara shared a video on Instagram on Monday evening, in which Ahmad can be seen being taken away by the police. In the video, he is heard questioning the officers, “Why are you arresting me?” The video was reportedly recorded on Monday afternoon at the site of the protest in Mumbai.
