Justice Sachin Shankar Magadum passed the interim order on a writ petition filed in 2024 by Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, who is a legal descendant of the erstwhile royal family, challenging the Shree Chamundeshwari Kshetra Development Act, 2024. In a post on X, the Embassy said essential communications, including updates on safety and security, will continue to be shared. “Because of the lapse in appropriations, this X account will not be updated regularly until full operations resume, with the exception of urgent safety and security information,” the post read. The US Embassy in Dhaka also issued a similar statement amid the partial government shutdown.
