A man was taken into custody on Saturday after he was reportedly found engaging in a religious activity inside Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
As per multiple news reports, the incident took place today morning near the southern enclosure of the temple when the man, identified as Ahmed Sheikh, around 50 years old, and a resident of Srinagar, allegedly attempted to offer namaz inside the temple premises.
When security personnel intervened, he reportedly shouted slogans associated with a particular community, a claim that has not been officially confirmed.
Security forces deployed at the site immediately took the man into custody. Security agencies, local police, and senior officials have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances and intent behind the incident.
