Aditya Pancholi appeared in various negative roles in Hindi films across the 1990s but as per his wife, actor Zarina Wahab, Aditya refused to accept roles of character artiste as he got older because he once saw veteran actor Shammi Kapoor getting lesser than ideal treatment on set. Zarina claimed in a new interview that Aditya once saw Shammi Kapoor getting his make-up done near the bushes in a garden and found it extremely disrespectful. In a chat with Lehren Retro, Zarina shared that Aditya was once shooting with Shammi in a bungalow in Juhu. One of the rooms in the bungalow was cleaned up for Aditya to get ready.
