Five members of a family were killed after their car crashed into a stationary truck on the Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra’s Amravati district, police said on Monday. The accident occurred near the Dhamangaon railway boundary at around 12.30 pm on Sunday, an official said, reported PTI.  The victims were travelling to Akola to attend a function when their car rammed into a truck parked near the railway boundary. Victims identified The deceased have been identified as Bhaskar Jivne, his son Ramesh Jivne, who was driving the car, his wife Lata Jivne, his daughter-in-law Aarti Jivne, and his 10-year-old granddaughter. All were residents of Chandrapur, the official said. Police, highway safety teams, and rescue personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Dhamangaon Rural Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
