The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) released the boxing draws for all 14 weight categories for the 2026 Glasgow Games on Wednesday. The boxing competition will kick off on 24th July with the round of 32 bouts in a few categories, and the competition will run for seven days before the finals on 1st August. India has sent a full 14-member squad, including flag-bearer Lovlina Borgohain, who has already assured herself of a medal before the competition begins. Lovlina, competing in the women’s 75kg category, received a direct bye to the semi-finals as there are only five entries in her weight class. All the semi-finalists in boxing receive the bronze medal, Lovlina, who is an Olympic medallist from the 2020 Tokyo Games, is assured of a medal even before competing. Alongside that, four female boxers, Jaismine Lamboria (57kg), Priya Ghanghas (60Kg), Parveen Hooda (65Kg), and Arundhati Chuadhry (70Kg), will start in the quarterfinals.
