The deceased was identified as S Anantha Kumar, a resident of Banashankari. According to news agency PTI, the incident occurred at around 5 pm. Kumar was reportedly on his phone when he went to the cafeteria terrace on the fifth floor before taking the extreme step. No suicide note was recovered from the scene, and his body was shifted to a private hospital for a post-mortem. The exact reason for the incident remains unknown, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
