ISRO earlier said, EOS-09 equipped with its payload- Synthetic Aperture Radar- has been designed to provide continuous and reliable remote sensing data for operational applications across sectors. Sriharikota (AP): A PSLV-C61 rocket carrying the Earth observation satellite EOS-09 lifted off from the spaceport Sriharikota early on Sunday (May 18). As per ISRO reports, the mission was not successful as there was a technical glitch in the performance of the third stage, due to which the mission could not succeed. On the launch of PSLV-C61, ISRO chief Dr V Narayanan said, “EOS-09 mission could not be accomplished, and we will come back after analysis.” During the functioning of the third stage, we are seeing an observation, and the mission could not be accomplished. After analysis, we shall come back., said ISRO. ISRO posted on X and said, “Today 101st launch was attempted, PSLV-C61 performance was normal till the 2nd stage.
