Harmanpreet Kaur becomes the most capped women’s cricketer in history

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur became the most capped player in women’s cricket history as she led India in the second T20I against Australia at the Manuka Oval on Thursday. Kaur featured in her 356th international match, going past New Zealand’s Suzie Bates who has played 355 international matches. The 36-year-old Indian has now played 189 T20Is, 161 ODIs, and six Test matches. She had made her international debut nearly two decades back in 2009, when she featured in a ODI against Pakistan at the Bradman Oval. Kaur made her T20I debut months later against England in the same year, before playing her first Test match in 2014. Besides Kaur and Bates, Ellyse Perry (349), Mithali Raj (333), and Charlotte Edwards (309) have played more than 300 women’s cricket international matches. IPL 2026 Auction Players List: Full list of Capped Players With Base Price; Date, Time & Venue

A total of 350 players will go under the hammer in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction, set to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Tuesday. A total of 1390 players initially registered for the auction, out of which 240 Indian and 110 overseas recruits were shortlisted. There are 77 available slots to fill across all 10 franchises. A total of 40 players have registered themselves in the highest bracket at Rs 2 crore. Nine players are registered for the 1.5 Cr slot, four for the 1.25 Cr slot, 17 for the 1 Cr slot and 42 cricketers have registered for the 75 lakh price slot. Out of the total 350 players, 112 are capped, while 238 are uncapped players. Passengers who booked flights until December 4 for travel up to December 15, 2025 can either reschedule their journey without paying the rescheduling fee or cancel their ticket for a full refund, provided the change is made by December 8, 2025. A fare difference, if any, will still apply in case of rebooking. Both airlines said the waiver can be accessed through their 24×7 contact centres and through travel agents, said the airlines in an official statement. Air India Express passengers have an additional option of using chatbot Tia, available on WhatsApp (+91 63600 12345), the airline’s website, app and Facebook Messenger. Air India and Air India Express have clarified that they have capped economy class fares on all non-stop domestic flights since December 4, 2025. The move was taken to prevent fare hikes that usually occur through revenue management systems when demand increases suddenly, an official statement said.  The airlines said they were aware of screenshots circulating online that showed very high last-minute fares for journeys involving one-stop or two-stop routes, or combinations of economy, premium economy and business class. They explained that it is not technically possible to cap every such route or mixed-class itinerary, especially those displayed on third-party booking platforms. However, the airlines confirmed they are engaging with these platforms to ensure better monitoring and oversight.
