Sarah Jessica Parker’s journey from Carrie Bradshaw, who famously wrote about love and labels in Sex and the City, to real-life judge of the world’s most prestigious literary award could be the story of a rom-com. That it is not raises the question of whether a celebrity (one who is not an acclaimed writer or literary critic) should judge one of the most prestigious book awards. The White Lotus: Carrie Coon Admits She ‘Tried to Forget’ Her Cast’s Plotlines; Reveals ‘Couldn’t Remember if Lochlan Died’

The White Lotus season 3 had much to offer its fans. Like every season, this time around, too, many different characters brought their shenanigans to the infamous hotel, this time in Thailand. Carrie Coon‘s character, hilariously nicknamed the Blonde Blob, went through a hell of a storyline, from talking behind her friend’s back to giving the monologue of the season to sprinting out of a messy surprise shootout.  However, when it comes to her castmates plotlines, Coon admits she didn’t remember much, and that was by choice. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said, “I intentionally kept a loose grip on the other stories so I could enjoy the show and my friends’ work. I tried to forget what happened, and I was successful,” revealing, “because I couldn’t remember if Lochlan died or not.” She’s caught up with the show now and has some very sweet things to say about her co-stars, especially Patrick Schwarzenegger. She gave her two cents on his character, Saxon’s “paradigm shift,” calling it “beautiful.” She added, “As I reinforce whenever I have …

The White Lotus Season 3’s Carrie Coon Reveals WHY She Turned Down Avengers: End Game; ‘My Time is More…’

Carrie Coon has been making quite a buzz for her appearance in The White Lotus season 3. The actress sat down with Variety about all things White Lotus until the host asked why she turned down a role in Avengers: Endgame. Coon’s husband Tracy Letts reportedly commented that she was asked to feel more fortunate about the opportunity.  Being a part of such a well-oiled and money making machine was indeed a opportunity but Coon didn’t want to sell herself for that. The Gone Girl actress revealed that despite her decades-spanning experience in the industry, she was not offered the compensation she expected. “I expect to receive a salary commensurate with my experience?” And the company says, “No, I’m sorry. We can only pay your entry-level salary,” she added. Coon explained that as an actress with a family, time has always been a more valuable asset than money.  “The lesson there is that my time is more valuable elsewhere,” she added. “My time, especially as a person with a family, is more valuable than that. …

Carrie Coon Reveals WHY The White Lotus Season 3 Scene Involving A Non-Binary Child Was Cut: ‘Wasn’t The Right…’

Carrie Coon, who stars in The White Lotus Season 3, recently spoke out about a scene that was actually shot but did not make the cut in the series following Donald Trump’s re-election. Interviewed by Harper’s Bazaar, Coon talked about how Laurie, her character, was first written to be a parent to a nonbinary child. Laurie was seen struggling with describing her child’s identity and using they/them pronouns when conversing with friends. Coon recounted, “You originally found out that her daughter was actually nonbinary, maybe trans, and going by they/them. You see Laurie struggling to explain it to her friends, struggling to use they/them pronouns, struggling with the language, which was all interesting.” Series producer Mike White made a decision to cut the scene during the editing of the episode following Trump’s re-election. According to Coon, White believed that the short scene could not treat such a complicated issue properly. Coon said, “It was only a short scene, but for me, it did make the question of whether Kate voted for Trump so much more …
