The rodent infestation has reached alarming levels, with burrowing rats threatening the very foundations of homes and infrastructure. In response, the Municipal Corporation has announced a large-scale initiative to curb the growing crisis. Residents of Moradabad have been increasingly raising concerns over the destructive impact of the rats, which have damaged sewer lines, eroded streets, and even gnawed through wooden doors in older parts of the city. Complaints pouring in from neighbourhoods like Mandi Chowk, Nawabpura, Asalatpura, Sarafa Bazaar, and Idgah prompted officials to take urgent action.
