As of Friday, March 27, the movie’s global gross stands at Rs 1,067.24 crore, and it continues its phenomenal run in theatres, registering over Rs 40 crore in nett collections even on weekdays. Aside from the general public, the spy actioner has also been receiving massive praise from industry insiders, including heavyweights such as ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth. Recently, Aditya Dhar’s mentor, legendary filmmaker Priyadarshan, shared what he believed was the primary factor behind the Dhurandhar director’s success. Power TV MD Rakesh Shetty Sent to Civil Prison for Defying Court Order in Bengaluru

A court in Bengaluru Rural district has ordered the detention of Power TV Managing Director Rakesh Sanjeeva Shetty in civil prison for three months after finding him guilty of deliberately violating a court injunction that prohibited the channel from airing defamatory content against senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer B R Ravikanthe Gowda. In a detailed 22-page order dated January 6, Principal Senior Civil Judge Abdul Saleem concluded that Shetty, representing Power Smart Media Private Limited, knowingly defied an interim temporary injunction issued on September 8, 2023, and broadcast programmes that portrayed the 57-year-old police officer in a derogatory manner. “The petitioner/plaintiff by producing cogent evidence proved beyond all shadow of doubt that despite there being an interim order of temporary injunction passed by this court on 08.09.2023… the respondent wilfully committed disobedience or breach of the injunction order,” the court said. Power TV, headquartered at Yeshwanthpur in Bengaluru, has yet to respond publicly to the court’s detention order. ‘Wilful disobedience’ The judge, while allowing the petition filed under Order 39 Rule 2A, read with …

Dhurandhar Box office Early Trend: Ranveer Singh film defying gravity, shredding records with near 30cr 2nd Tuesday

Dhurandhar Box office Early Trend: Ranveer Singh film defying gravity, shredding records with near 30cr 2nd Tuesday

Dhurandhar remains a dhurandhar at the box office on its 2nd Tuesday with what looks like another day of around Rs. 30 crore nett. The film is defying gravity, showing almost NO drop from its Monday business, which was already an absurd hold. In fact, there might be some growth when the actuals arrive tomorrow morning. The box office has been showing growth on Tuesday in the last year or so since the introduction of discount day, but Dhurandhar HAS NOT opted for any of the discounts so far and yet the business is holding so strongly. That hands Dhurandhar another daily record for Hindi films, and it’s not even close as it beats the previous record of Rs. 17.50 crore nett by Chhaava, with an insane 65 per cent margin. For that matter, when considering the overall Indian box office records, Dhurandhar is second only to Baahubali: The Conclusion, which grossed Rs. 39.25 crore in all languages. The rate it is going, it may start beating those Baahubali 2 records in the coming days. …

Laalo Krishna Sada Sahaayate Box Office: Gravity Defying Run Continues, 5th Wednesday Jumps from 5th Monday

Laalo Krishna Sada Sahaayate Box Office: Gravity Defying Run Continues, 5th Wednesday Jumps from 5th Monday

Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate had another phenomenal day at the Indian box office, collecting Rs. 3.75 crore approx on its 5th Wednesday. That takes its total box office gross to Rs. 45.50 crore approx. It will be crossing Rs. 50 crore mark and becoming the highest-grossing Gujarati film of all time, earlier than was anticipated, with ETA on the former being 6th Friday. The film went UP from Monday by around 15 per cent on Wednesday, when the norm is to DROP by 15-25 per cent. It’s unclear what caused the midweek surge, but this unusual movement indicates that the film’s business hasn’t yet stabilised. On Monday, it seemed like stabilisation had started and the film would start following the conventional trend from there on, which would lead to closing at somewhere around Rs. 70-80 crore.  However, the unexpected jump on Wednesday has altered the trajectory. The fifth week, which seemed like it would collect around Rs. 26-27 crore just two days ago, is now headed for Rs. 31-32 crore. If Wednesday isn’t a one-off, …

Trump To Sign Order Targeting Cities Defying Immigration Laws

Trump To Sign Order Targeting Cities Defying Immigration Laws

Washington: US President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order on Monday directing the attorney general and the secretary of Homeland Security to identify within a month the cities and states that are not complying with federal immigration laws, a White House official said Monday. Last week, a federal judge blocked Trump’s administration from withholding federal funding from more than a dozen so-called sanctuary jurisdictions that have declined to cooperate with Trump’s hardline immigration crackdown. “President Trump plans to sign an executive order on Monday escalating his battle against Democratic-led states and cities that don’t fully cooperate with federal immigration authorities,” a White House official said. The order was first reported by the Wall Street Journal. Trump’s schedule calls for him to sign executive orders at 5 p.m. EST. In his first hundred days in office, Trump has moved swiftly to strip legal immigration status from hundreds of thousands of people, increasing the pool of those who can potentially be deported as he tries to ramp up removals to historic levels. The Republican president …

It will be Netanyahu’s second trip abroad since the ICC announced the warrants, following a visit to Washington in February to meet US President Donald Trump. Israel has denounced the warrants against Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, describing …
