The Delhi government on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BIG Institute and Physics Wallah Limited, to offer free crash courses to students for CUET and NEET preparation after Class 12. On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to mark International Women’s Day with the ‘Lakhpati Didi Sammelan’ besides inaugurating several developmental projects during his two day visit to Gujarat and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. In Gujarat’s Navsari district, the PM will attend a ‘Lakhpati Didi’ event and disburse Rs 450 crore in financial assistance to more than 2.5 lakh women from over 25,000 Self-Help Groups (SHGs). New Delhi: Days after winning Assembly election, the Delhi Government’s Chief Secretary Dharmendra has instructed senior officers to prepare a 100-day action plan for their respective departments, aligning with the Viksit Delhi Sankalp Patra-2025 vision of the new government. The plan prioritises targets to be achieved within 15 days, every month, and by the 100-day mark. Soon, people caught driving without a licence, driving dangerously, speeding, or driving an unregistered vehicle will not have to pay the full challan. Instead, they can settle the fine on the spot or in 30 days by paying just 50% of the total amount. For the convenience of the people and to encourage the settlement of traffic fines, the Delhi government has decided to compound traffic offences at 50% of the challan amount under specific sections of the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act, said officials. The objective behind this initiative is to settle traffic fines and reduce the workload on courts and the transport department. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said a proposal regarding this has been sent to L-G V K Saxena for approval. “By rationalising compounding fees and delegating compounding powers, we are making it easier for people to comply with traffic regulations while enhancing enforcement efforts.
