Tirupati police detain intruder after panic erupts at school

An intruder who allegedly behaved in erratic manner, posing serious threat to the staff and students of a private school, was arrested by the Alipiri police in Tirupati on Thursday. The incident happened at Sri Vijetha school in the city’s Akkarampalli locality, where a person identified as Chinnam Srinivas (54), who hails from Badvel town in Kadapa district and currently resides in Mysuru, reportedly entered the premises under the pretext of enquiring details about admission and fee structure. According to the police, Srinivas allegedly sneaked to the second floor of the school building, entered a classroom and poured petrol from a bottle across the room. He then threatened the staff to move away by taking out an iron hammer which he had carried with him. The agitated staff and scared students witnessed the tense moments, forcing the school management to alert the Alipiri police. Ranchi RSS office attack: Police detain four, SIT begins investigation

Police have intensified their investigation into the petrol bomb attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) provincial office in Nivaranpur, Ranchi.  According to IANS, the police officials have also detained four individuals in connection with the incident. Those detained include the driver of the vehicle allegedly used in the attack and two of the suspected attackers. Probe underway to find the motive  According to the police officials, the detainees are being questioned to determine the motive behind the attack and uncover any larger conspiracy. The incident occurred on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday and was captured on CCTV cameras installed near the premises. Preliminary investigations revealed that the attackers arrived in a rented car. Operation Cyber Hawk 3.0: Delhi police detain over 500 in cybercrime crackdown

Delhi Police on Saturday have detained more than 500 people under Operation Cyber Hawk 3.0, the latest phase of an ongoing drive against cybercrime. Officials said that the operation aimed at breaking organised cyber fraud networks that operate across multiple digital platforms. Operation Cyber Hawk 3.0 uses advanced technical tools, real-time intelligence, financial tracking and coordinated ground action to identify and dismantle cybercrime syndicates, as reported by news agency ANI.  The officials while briefing about the operation also said that it helped in quickly identifying the offenders, shut down fraudulent digital infrastructure and initiate legal action against those involved in online crimes. The drive is part of a larger strategy to strengthen cybersecurity, protect citizens from online fraud and prevent misuse of digital platforms. Police said the operation will continue in the coming days with tighter monitoring and enforcement. The Goa Police on Tuesday detained Ajay Gupta, an alleged partner of Luthra brothers, who owned the fire-ravaged nightclub wherein 25 persons were killed, PTI news agency reported. The ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ nightclub owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra fled to Thailand on Sunday morning.(PTI) A Look Out Circular (LOC) had been issued against the detained Gupta, and another person identified as Surinder Kumar Khosla, a senior police official said earlier today.
